To the service men and women thanks for all you do

I wrote this poem in memory of a soldier that lost his life so we can enjoy the freedom we all enjoy.

A Priceless Gift

A desert Sun set behind a flag at half mast

To mourn a soldier who had just passed

He gave his life for us to live

A priceless gift in which to give

A soldiers job is a tale untold

More valuable than the rarest gold

Hearts a fire he gave his life

Leaving behind his son and wife

Our country wouldnt be the same today

If not for the sacrifices somany have made

So here we know bow our heads in memory for those fight

To keep in sight

A new world with all at ease

Something most of us call peace

For those soldiers out keeping us safe you have our thanks for all you do.  Best wishies and may a higher power keep you safe
