Quarrantine
Absolutely fantastic! I was waiting for this one and it didn't fail to deliver on every point...Trapped inside a quaint urban apartment complex, a viral infection breaks out...and the tennants are confused, scared, and isolated. They slowly start to piece togethe the puzzle and learn that they are in the fight for their own survival, with no help from the outside world. They are locked in, desperate, and terrified. I loved this movie.. my wife and I had an amazing time watching this for our 'date night' movie..I would recommend this highly for any fan of horor, terror, with echoes of Blair Witch and Night of the Living Dead. This was worth the wait, and is a must own. Great character developemnt, amazing jumps and screams, and an ending that just begs for a sequel....LOVED IT!!!!

Thw Strangers
When I was done watching this movie, I watched the extra footage. It was there that I heard what can best be described as the genre of this movie. It is not a horror movie...it is a terror movie. This one had my wife and I watching in suspense, and we cast scared sideways glances at each other throughout the entire film. I loved it...we loved it...and when it was done we both let out a big 'WHEW'...as if to say that we both just went through a massively terrifying experience and made it out the other side. Watch this work at night with a candle lit for atmosphere...and hold on tight....

The Happening
This was a cool little movie from M. Night. He has just such a way of crafting a story, developing interesting and memorable characters, and binding you to both while taking you on a great ride. The opening 15 minutes were wild, and my wife and I both shot up and our eyes popped out of our heads...as the story progressed, we discussed so many possibilities of what was 'happening'..always a good sign that we were vested in the movie. We loved it start to finish...give it a try!

The Descent
FanF*****G-Tastic! This movie starts off slow, but when the gears start to turn look out, because it will run over you like a steamroller! This is the type of movie that I have been waiting for, and it was truly creepy even before any of the 'things' that dwell in the cave arrived. The filming of the claustrophobic and intensley dangerous environment of the cave itself was enough to make me feel like I was right there with the main characters. The lighting was well done, the script quite good, and the effects were amazing. Wait till the ghoulies show up...it gets real interesting..real fast. Have fun!

The Last Man on Earth
The Last Man on Earth is rumored to be the inspiration for the classic Night of the Living Dead, and after watching this golden little Gem I completely and respectfully agree. There are however enough differences between the movies to make them both stand out and deliver solid performances. Vincent Price is awesome in this picture, and I liked that for nearly the first 25% of the movie he is narrating his existance, and there is no real dialouge, which lends to the desperation of being alone. I feel that for its time, the zombies/vampire creatures were well done, the effects good and the settings great. I would highly recommend this classic picture to anyone who is a fan of the undead movies, as this one inspired our godfather, papa Romero. Well done! The Undead have bowed down!

Zombie 2
A truly great work for the Undead genre. The acting was good, the effects suprisingly good for the 70's era and the storyline was believable and kept me interested throughout the entire viewing. How were the Zombies? They were quite scary and very Romero-esque in their collective hive-like actions and slow, yet deliberate shambling to hunt the remaining survivors. I would highly recommend this work to anyone who likes a good Undead or scary flick, as it delivers on every level and the ending sets you up perfectly for the sequel..Have fun!!

Diary of the Dead
This was fantastic. I wish that I could just submit those words and let it be, but this was so good I wanted to write my thoughts. This has all of the powerful social commentary of the Romero Zombie movies with the chills and jumps, along with an amazing storyline and great acting that I was waiting for. This delivered on every single blessed f***ing level. 10 stars if I could, I loved it...This was FAN~F****ng~TASTIC!! The Undead have bowed down and spoken!!!!!!

Cloverfield
This was quite a fun movie, and it really drew me into the situation with the clever use of the camera shots and angles. I think that this was similar, but leaps ahead of Blair Witch (still, that was a fun movie too..)in the way that the story was told from a first person perspective. The chaos and confusion were well delivered and believeable, the special effects were phoenomenal, and the monster(s) were incredible. This is truly worth a rent and quite well done!!
