Perfect Pitch in the Brain

Perfect pitch, or absolute pitch, refers to the ability of people to instantly identify a musical note without relying on the reference of another material. People who have this ability are not only able to recognize musical notes unaided but are also able sing or reproduce these notes without any guidance. Many might consider this ability rare. They would be right - custom papers.

Absolute pitch is estimated to occur in about one in every ten thousand people. Because of this many people have grown to believe that the ability can only be passed through genes. This is not entirely true. Absolute pitch, like every other human skill or ability can be learn via the right training method.

Why, you might ask. The answer is rather simple. Even within the most convoluted of pictures, people are able to still identify the major colors. They are also able to distinguish and identify the different herbs added to a meal. If all this is possible with the use of other senses, what is stopping the development of perfect pitch training.

Success with learning absolute pitch will be affected by a person's self confidence. People who doubt that they can achieve this ability will very likely end up failing in their bid. Personal belief is an important ally in perfect pitch training and without it, just like every venture in life, not very much can be gained.

Supporting the view that the ability can be learned is the discovery over the years of the relation between absolute pitch training and developments in the human brain. In several researches conducted across the world, there has been increased evidence that the brain plays a major role in this ability.

For instance, in a research conducted in Australia involving 30 healthy professional musicians-11 of whom had perfect pitch-it was discovered that a region in the left side of the brain was much larger than those without perfect pitch. This increase was sometimes found to be almost twice in value. These results indicate that some actual mental effort is required to gain the ability.The success of absolute pitch does not lie with genes but with the use of the brain.

Another important observation lending strength to the argument that the perfect pitch training is not as elusive might consider is that almost many of the musicians who possess this ability receive some form of pitch training during their earlier years. It is believed by many that this early exposure is one of the main catalyst behind their eventual development of the ability. With continued research, it is believed that many of the absolute pitch training methods currently in use today will only get better.

Hi hope everyone is fine and well but why is it you bann people without even telling them i lookafter the room when there know mods in and i allways use this chat my daughter met her husband from this site it great but why 1 day you can enter the chatroom and the next you go to log in and your ip been banned i dont understand what going on most of my friends are in chat i just wish someone would let me know what i done wroung to be banned i got alot of friends in chat who know i done nothing wroung so is it that you dont like me in your room know more tears i took you to be a fair man and ask the person berfore you bann them thanking you wildlady

I remember that once I was beside my parents house, I was a child then, there were a pile of sand which is used in building materials because the house wasn't completely built yet, I was playing with the sand, building a castle which had nothing to do with castles unless you consider a small pile of sand covered with several sprinkles of colorful sand a castle, I think it was the beginning of autumn then. While I was coloring my pretty castle I felt a drop of water dropping on my head, I looked up and I saw a small black cloud above me, rain fell in big drops, I stood up enjoying the rain which came after a long absence, the cloud went away and the rain stopped, I wished it would last longer.

This was a happy memory that remained in my mind until now.

I was due to go to States for 6 mths but my travelling 'friend' canx on me so didnt go. I am now tempted to go next year but i would be by myself, is this safe to do generally? I thought of going for 7 days in Sept to try out first (poss nashville) but would i meet people out there or would i spend the whole time by myself? I know these questions cant be answered factually be some opionions would be grateful!

It is all around us. Everywhere we look something has happened that is recognised historicaly to atleast one person. Lake City, Florida is atleast one hundred and fifty years old; imagine all the history! If you ever walk through a cemetary, especialy an old one, take notice of certain details. look at specific grave sites and take in the effort loved ones put into preserving them.

I passed by one site which caught my interest. Inside of a small, waist high, iron gated fence was an obelisk. On the sides were inscribed words from his wife and his brothers. Infront of the obelisk, lying on the ground was an iron cast of a medium sized dog, a labarador. Perhaps a cast of his best friend, loyal and missing his master? On the inside, toward the back right corner of the fence sat an iron bench.

How often did a lone widow come and sit in that very spot, weeping, crying, and speaking with the man who was no longer with her? How long would she stay? Rain or shine, hot or cold? Did any of that even matter to her? What were there lives like in the late 1800's? Only history can tell and reveal to us the answers; but even then we are still left guessing! -Matthew Allen Baatz
