The new direction of UsaChatNow

As most of you know Usachatnow has been going through allot of changes. I have evaluated what has hurt the site the most since this site has begun. Hosting has caused the most harm in this site since day one. When a user is upgraded to hosting it gives them the ability to control the madness in the chat rooms. Usually this works for a while until the hosting goes to there head. It goes from helping the site maintain a friendly environment to being about the power( this isn't all hosts just the majority). Some hosts think that if you even slightly disrespect them they will ban you. When a host get to this point I instantly remove them. Now what happens is they turn around and whisper everyone they know in the site, messengers and try to create drama. They try to get as many people to have bad opinions on the site, try to get them to leave the site, post bad things about the site and etc. This is why I am driven to straying completely away from hosting permanently. We have a small amount of hosts left and as they involve themselves in drama, treating users unfairly or any other activity that is forbidden we will drop them as well. The facts are we have ignore buttons in every chat room. When someone bothers you, all you have to do is ignore them. I will put allot more effort into better ignore functions as the weeks pass us by (Ignore buttons that will block the user by ip address). My bottom line with all changes is to better the users experience. A user needs to feel like they are just as important as everyone else. The drama that has been brought on by recent hosts is completely obsessed behavior and has forced usachatnow into a much better and more secure future. We eliminate future hosting we eliminate future drama.

I haven't been chatting much this summer due to work and school, but I've kept in touch with my buds and have been a chatter for many many moons.  So I'm kind of 50/50 on this.  50 percent of the drama are chatters and 50 percent are ego based hosts.  I would always laugh when chatters would post in the room...I DON'T WHISPER SO LEAVE ME ALONE!.  Or how about those that copy and past an unwanted whisper into the room...creates lovely drama does it not?  Wouldn't ignoring the person get the point across without the drama?  The ignore button is great.  Most won't use it because then they would miss the drama..lol.  I've seen many hosts come and go.  The good ones would just post the rules if a new chatter got out of line and that usually worked.  Then there are those that let the power go to their heads and banned without warning.  I still agree that spamming and kids or adults for that matter, that have no manners and get out of hand should be warned first and then put in time out...then banned if they do it again without cause.  Let's face it, there are many people that come into chat sites to blow off steam and harass others for whatever their reasons are.  There has to be some enforcement of rules or caos will accure...that's just life.  I look at it this way, treat a chatter in a room as if you were meeting them in person.  Show a little respect for other peoples opinions even if you don't agree with them.  In other words, use your nice words to get your point across in a conversation.  Or a bit of sarcasim goes a long way...lol.  If I meet a jerk in person, I don't hang around.  So yeah, the ignore button will work in the same way in a chat room.  But then again, ever been at a bar where there is this one jerk that blathers on and on?  Most of us will part like the red sea to get away from him/her.  But there's always one or two in the crowd that want the drama and get in the idiots face to prove a point because they feel walking away is a weakness.  It isn't a weakness to walk away or iggy an idiot...it's a form of strength and common sence.  However, in all honesty, I'm not beyond standing aside and watching a good drama show now and again while I sip my wine...very entertaining at times..lol.  So if chatters and hosts use common sence while following and enforcing common sence rules of the site...it will be a joint effort to increase the sites followers.  I'll always be a USACHAT chatter because I adore my buds.

Okay Tears - I can see why you are doing this, and it is true, about 98% of drama is caused by this so I think you are doing right on this one. See how it goes..

Peaceeee
