There are no more barriers to cross.
All I have in common with the uncontrollable and the insane,
the vicious and the evil, all the mayhem I have caused...
and my utter indifference toward it,
I have now surpassed.
My pain is constant and sharp...
and I do not hope for a better world for anyone.
In fact, I want my pain to be inflicted on others.
I want no one to escape.
But even after admitting this,
there is no catharsis.
My punishment continues to elude me...
and I gain no deeper knowledge of myself.
No new knowledge can be extracted from my telling.

Its sad when a mother has to speak the words that condem her own son, but I couldn't allow them to believe I could commit murder. They'll put him away now, as I should have years ago. He was always bad and in the end he attempted to tell them I killed those girls and..that man. As if I could do anything except sit and stare, like one of his stuffed birds and they know that I can't even move a finger...and I won't! I'll just sit here and be quiet, just in case they do..suspect me.
They're probably watching me, well, let them! Let them see what kind of a person I am, I'm not even going to swat that fly. I hope they are watching, they'll see...they'll see and they'll know and they'll say, "Why...she wouldn't even harm a fly."
