As the beginning of Star Trek so famously says to to boldly go where no one has gone before.  Granted many others have blogged, and I’ve blogged many times on USA Network Now, but this is my first posting here on the USA Chat Now chat blog.  So who is this guy nicknamed RickyRocker? He sure seems to hang out in Lobby Chat an awful lot.  Ok, guilty as charged.  In early July 2008 I stumbled on a chat site unlike any I’d experienced before.  I was immediately made to feel welcome by some very cool people. I’ve come to view USA Chat Now and USA Network Now as something akin to the bar on the tv show Cheers.  Its a place where friends gather, in our case from all over the world, sometimes on a daily basis to chat about anything and everything.  We laugh most of the time, but also share in each others sorrows, illnesses, etc.  I worked full-time for over 21 years as a radio broadcaster until failing health prohibited it.  I still do occasional part-time writing from home, mostly commercials, but find myself with ample free time which I gladly spend in USA Chat Now and USA Network Now.  As a general rule I try to be as accomodating and helpful to new people as others were to me when I first joined.  Sure we have our fair share of idiots, we refer to them usually as ‘tards’ in Lobby,  but they thankfully don’t hang around long and the good people far outweigh the bad in my experience.  So, if you’re new, be sure to say hello. And if you need help creating a profile, adding a pic, a music player or whatever just ask and I’ll do my best to help.  Warning, I do have a sacastic streak a mile wide, and hurl funny (?) insults at the aforementioned ‘tards’, but never at anyone who doesn’t deserve it, so please don’t let it turn you off.  So, thats about it for my first USA Chat Blog posting.  Mr. Sulu, ahead warp factor one.  (wooooooooooshhhhh)
